“take a journey through the narrowest passages”
It was back in 1956 that Dr. R.O. Ebert started the horse-drawn wagon tours through Lost Canyon, the longest and deepest land canyon in Wisconsin. In 1967, the Kissack families took over the business and still operate it today, doing their part to maintain this natural treasure. Visitors ride through a mile of cliff-walled gorges in comfortable yet quaint horse-drawn carriages. At the narrowest passages, the guides must talk the horses through the tight squeeze. In some of the deeper parts, the sheer rock and sandstone wall have not felt the touch of the sun in more than 50,000 years.
Approx. $12/per person
Very neat experience! The guide was very friendly and the sites were fun to see by horse carriage. The tour was about 30min long and there is a small gift shop. The canyon is a bit chilly though so I would recommend a light jacket. Lots of bugs too! Bring bug spray!
Chris did a great job entertaining us while Bill and Bob gave us a great ride. About a half hour wagon ride through a steep but beautiful canyon. Nice for a cool picturesque ride. Take bug spray
Such a fun stop on our cross-country tour! Our guide, Cody, was awesome! We would highly recommend this stop.
Wonderful place to stop. Hard to believe there is a Canyon here. Light fun and the tour guide add a sense of humor to the whole experience.
Well worth seeing.
Hidden gem in amongst all the tourist traps.
Well worth driving off the main drag.
If possible ask for Doc to be your driver, very knowledgeable and super friendly
Great stop. Tour guide was fun and funny. Horses were awesome too. Scenery was breathtakingly gorgeous.
Great tour! Quick stop not far from the freeway. Very cool and interesting. Good for kids and adults. Fair price. Well worth a visit.
The Lost Canyon Tour was awesome. We just dropped by on our way down to Chicago, and we didn't regret it at all. Just a few bucks to get on, and then you get a ride in the wagon with a tour guide. Chris was ours, and he was awesome. Absolutely recommend this!
We ended up getting our own person tour, due to it being a bit very busy time in their season. Chris was our guide and he was super knowledgeable about the history, nature, and really anything involving the Lost Canyon and surrounding area (oh and he has awesome jokes). I would recommend this tour to anyone and everyone!
