“a B&B without the attitude or price”
In 1981, the Duck Brand was born as a family owned and operated hotel and cantina. The "Duck," as it is known to regulars and locals, quickly evolved into the eclectic epicenter of the Methow Valley; a hangout for those seeking an alternative to the ordinary. The five room inn is situated above the restaurant overlooking Winthrop and the North Cascades beyond. The rooms feature queen beds, private baths and have balconies perfect for relaxing after a busy day recreating. Furnishings and amenities are country style; a sort of B & B without the attitude or price.
Recent visit September 2014 was disappointing. New management has really cut corners. Our server did not understand the difference between Root Beer verses Beer. We ordered Super Bowl Ribs and a salad. Ribs were not prepared very well, salad was served after dinner plates were served, waitress could not understand why. (Language barrier). I asked for extra napkins with the ribs and received one. No more chips and salsa before dinner anymore. Use to be a great place to go for food and beverages, maybe their banker should take a look what is going down at The Duck Brand, I'm sure they will take it back in about a year.
