Spring House Restaurant, Kitchen & Bar

Spring House Restaurant, Kitchen & Bar, opened in April 2012, is located in the former Bahnson House, a gracious 1920 former residence in downtown Winston-Salem that is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Extensive and historically appropriate renovations have been made to preserve and re-invent one of the last remaining homes on what was commonly called “Winston-Salem’s Millionaire’s Row,” describing downtown’s Fifth Street that was once lined with mansions of city leaders and industrialists during the early-to-mid 1900’s. Mr. Lynn Murphy and his wife, Lynette Matthews-Murphy, purchased the historic building in December 2010, after it had been used for 30 years as offices by the Forsyth County Public Library. Lynette was named project manager for the building’s renovation, design and concept development. Her position as founder/partner will also incorporate event planning and marketing for Spring House. The project is a creative collaboration with Executive Chef Timothy Grandinetti, who will share his 23 years of culinary expertise and restaurant management background as the founding Chef/Partner of Spring House Restaurant, Kitchen & Bar. Our shared vision and commitment is to create a progressive, Southern-inspired destination for dining, hospitality, and special events. Spring House Restaurant, Kitchen & Bar is an inviting full-service neighborhood restaurant, featuring a unique array of dining rooms and meeting spaces that promise to provide comfortable experiences for our guests. The expansive lawn surrounding the property is unique to the downtown area, and provides charming indoor/outdoor opportunities for memorable events and parties. Spring House Restaurant, Kitchen & Bar is fully ADA compliant, with easily accessible entrances and restrooms located on both the main and upper levels.
