“Camping on the scenic Tims Ford Reservoir”
Tims Ford State Park has 20 two-bedroom cabins with double beds, 12 channels of DirecTV, gas fireplaces, full kitchen, and outdoor balconies. The minimum reservation is for two nights, but on holidays it is extended to three nights. During June and July, there is a 7-10 minimum, depending on the cabin. The campground at Tims Ford has 52 sites, accommodating both RVs up to 40 feet and tents. Two of the campsites are ADA accessible. There is a dumping station at the entrance to the campground, and there are two centrally-located bathhouses, with hot showers, lavatories and commodes. Campsites are available year-round for a maximum of two-week stays.
Stopped by here on a whim. We enjoyed hiking, biking, and canoeing. Also, there is a nice pool but we missed it because it is closed on Tuesday. This place is booked for months on the weekends FYI.
