Confirmed by 2 users | Last reported on December 21, 2021This is a large, very nice campground. The sites are very large with concrete pads. Maneuvering our motorhome was very easy with plenty of room There are two parts to the campground. There is the old section which is wooded and the new section which is more open and better if you are looking for good satellite reception. The campground is spotless and well maintained. We arrived at the rear entrance. We called the office and an escort arrived within a few minutes to take us to our site. I was then driven by the escort to and from the office to register. WiFi was good. This campground is an over 55 campground during the winter season. The campground is located in a fairly rural area with not much to do but Gainesville is only about 25 minutes north. We stayed in a 40ft motorhome.

Were here for FROG (Forest River Owner Group) rally in late September 2016. We had a special rally rate. Very well kept park. Two entrances (south and north), check in is at the south gate, if you go to the north gate you either need a gate code or call them and someone will escort you. Escorts will guide you to a camp site and help getting parked. We arrived in a torrential downpour and the escort was nearly drowned in the rain guiding me into my camp site. Two park areas, the north park is for long term tenants, many golf carts. Every amenity you could need, heated pool, clean showers/restrooms, clubhouse, picnic pavilion, RV wash site, mail boxes in the office. Ample shade. Concrete pads, although mine was not quite level and needed level blocks. Cable TV, WIFI. Near restaurants and grocery shopping. Train traffic nearby and can be heard at night.

Very clean and well-maintained resort. Employees are friendly and helpful. An escort to our site and help with backing in was a nice bonus. Water pressure was a bit low but sufficient.
During the busy spring months there is a minimum stay requirement and length of RV requirement which is unfortunate for us.

Granted it was our first RV park so we have no benchmarks, but this place was fantastic. The sites were level with well organized hookups. Amenities include large heated pool with hot tub, grist mill, group fire pit snd activities. We stayed in one of the areas with many trees, which helped give a sense of space between neighbors.

We cannot say enough things about this RV resort. The first day we got here we wanted to stay forever but we figured there’s no way we will feel this way after 2 months. In the 2 months we’ve been here we keep touring other parks for next year and nothing compares.
The grounds are immaculately kept up. There’s sooooo much to do from the normal stuff - pickleball, bingo, line dancing, etc to their own great ice cream store, street golf, comedians once a month, bands, etc. it would take pages to list everything they have going on here.
A large part of the resort is full-timers but where other places the full-timers don’t usually want to be bothered with transients this is the exact opposite. Honestly, everyone is so nice and welcoming.
We also love that the drive to Gainesville is not bad at all. We go often for great food, Publix, and anything you could possible need. Also a fairly quick drive to adorable Cedar Key and Crystal River. And if you come here make sure you check out their hidden gem - Cedar Lakes Gardens.
Most of the sites are HUGE. There’s a section in the woods where our site is. Very large private site. Then a section that’s more cleared with more access to the sun.
IF I had to force myself to come up with anything slightly bothersome it’s that they are so on top of maintenance that the blowers go constantly and it’s so peaceful here that everyone is inside by dark. I prefer a little more action.
We love it here so much that even though we had our hearts set on someplace closer to the water, this is high on our list for permanent spot when we settle down.

the site itself was awesome, the length was the size for 2 5th wheels. the width was ok, but had a porch for your picnic table (all paved) and stuff, no fire rings at all and your neighbors were like 20 feet or more away, you had alot of trees between you so you had privacy and all, couldn't ask for more, had to take off my water pressure reg, off so we could get decent water pressure. had 72 cable channels, thought that was cool, but couldn't get the tv guide channel 2 to program in no matter what or how I programed my tv, that sucked, the place is HUGH, the wife and I take walks every day, once it was a 2.1 mile walk just in the camp ground, the people (residents) are really nice people. the pool and spa are really nice, wish the ice cream shop and other things were open more for the residents, alot of people complain that after the snowbirds leave the management closes shop on alot of things, the front office is only open from 10-2 pm Monday to Friday, but if you need help the residents will be glad to help you, they are awesome. nothing to do in town but Gainesville and such isn't that far away, but the campground is awesome. in our travels, we have been in alot of campgrounds, and this is the 1st one that my wife has said that she could live in, lol. didn't like that the paperwork that we were given when we checked in said $80 per night, but on my CC, we were charged $90 per night? we are not snowbirds, residents of Florida lol. but the campground and the residents and the pool is awesome

Excellent place. Beautifully cared for. Great luxurious pool and nicely kept bathrooms. Staff is efficient and friendly. Many of the people around us are actually year round residents and I see why. Tons of food places are an easy walk and free cable TV. This is how all TV parks should be!!!!
