“Fine Dining Since 1946!”
Rod's Steak House, established August 23, 1946, during the heyday of Historic Route 66, celebrated 50 years of excellent cuisine and service in 1996. Located 60 miles south of the Grand Canyon in Williams, Arizona, Rod's is a world famous restaurant and has been visited by people from all walks of life and many foreign countries. The much sought after menu, die-cut in the shape of a steer, proudly boasts American food.
Crazy thing… everything was good except for the steaks. Salad, soup, rolls… their “fries” are actually potato wedges, although they’re fried up crisp with the potato skin still on them. Interesting…Tasty… but they are not fries. Should have known the “fillet” wasn’t going to be great at $19. It’s not a “deal”, it’s just a poor cut of meat. We had steaks 4 days later at a Texas Roadhouse that put these to shame
