“You'll have a yabba dabba-doo time!”

Want to get up close and personal to a dinosaur? At Bedrock City, halfway between the Grand Canyon and Williams, you have the opportunity to do just that. Here you will see Fred and Barney, Wilma and Betty along with Pebbles and Bamm Bamm from the Flintstones cartoons as well as the giant dinosaur that you can slide down the tail, like a slide, just like Fred on the intro to the cartoon. This unique stop is located between the Grand Canyon and Williams on Arizona Hwy 54 at the junction of US 180 in Valle. Created to look like Fred, Barney, Wilma, Betty, Pebbles and Bamm Bamm from the Flintstones cartoons they will bring a smile to your face, regardless of whether you are still a kid or just remembering how the Flintstones made you laugh. The statues are stationary, they are huge and they are fun.

This place is goofy to the max. The ladies in the gift shop talked it up to be spectacular but once we entered we found a run down attraction from the heyday of route 66, and we loved it. We were the only people there and strolled around peeping in windows of locked up Bedrock homes (through the cracks in the curtains you could see old boxes piled to the ceiling inside-weird), and marveled at the giant characters with broken legs and graffiti scratched into their faces. Upkeep didn't seem like a high priority, probably last maintenance was performed when the park opened back in the day. We loved the goatasaures's (two goats that didn't like each other in a pen) and the giant snake that you crawl through on hands and knees while gravel digs into your skin. It may sound like I'm complaining but I'm not. Bedrock City is gold if you love weird roadside attractions. This place is wacky, weird and so much fun!

Had so much fun!!! It was great to walk and see the places of Bedrock! Well worth the $5 dollars per person. If you are going to see the Grand Canyon this is a must stop. Younger generation may not get it but those of us who watched the Flintstones will love it.

Yes it is corny, yes it is a hold over from the Rt 66 heyday/ and yes it can use some work but that is all part of the fun in it. The friendly gift shop lady I spoke with there was definitely in to the place for what it was, a toss back to the 60's. I can't imagine a kid who wouldn't enjoy it today, just as it is. As an adult, I couldn't help smiling as I remembered watching the Flintstone's TV show when I was a young boy.

Worth the $5 bucks per person. Oh yeah, you also can buy a 5 cent cup of coffee there - how's that for a toss back to the 60's? :-)

Stopped at this quirky shop for a bite to eat on our way back from the Grand Canyon... surprisingly the food was good (although very basic), there are clean ablutions and also a gas station nearby to refuel.

We didn't get to check out the the full bedrock city vibe as it was quite late and also out of season, so most things were locked up. Worth a stop if you need to take a break from driving and grab a cuppa coffee.

"Unique"? Not so much. I visited the one in Custer, South Dakota (in the Black Hills) when I was a kid in 1977, and it's still there -- my folks took my nephews there last summer.

Definitely talked up by the staff, describing it as the "best fun you can have for $5" - but we did enjoy it. A small price to pay to see a clearly once loved but now neglected relic of old Route 66.

When we visited there was only one other couple there, and it was clear by their smiles that they were enjoying it in the same sense we were. Not for the feeling you were walking around Fred and Wilma's home town but for just how lovably shit it is.

Definitely worth a stop on your way to or from the Grand Canyon.

My daughter enjoyed it. I was skeeved out by how gross and run down it was. I wish it would be renovated I'd pay more for a nicer experience. Got photos we won't be back if it stays run down.

It's fun for the kids to run around and check things out. Lots of photo ops. For 5$ a person I'm glad we did it, the kids really enjoyed it!

This place has been around since I was kid ...I visited with my parents in the 60's and remember not being overly impressed even back then!
