Confirmed by 1 users | Last reported on August 30, 2018We tried a few free sites near here but were swarmed by mosquitos due to the waterways. We stumbled across this site and it was quiet and had a nice overlook onto Yellowstone Park. It is definitely more dispersed camping type. No amenities besides a creek at the base of the hill. We just had a truck, but it may be possible for smaller RV vehicles to pull off the road. Dirt road access off highway only.

I stayed here because all the campsites nearby were booked. There are actually signs that say, “no overnight camping” so I felt a bit uneasy being here. If camping is actually allowed it is a nice spot with what seems to be a lovely view, but I didn’t stay long enough to see the sunrise because I wasn’t sure if I was even allowed to be there.
