“So amazing you won't be able to bear it”
No vacation to the Yellowstone National Park or Grand Teton National Park region is complete without an adventure into the wild at Yellowstone Bear World, a drive-thru wildlife park. During your visit you will be surrounded by the free-roaming wildlife of North America as you drive your personal vehicle through the park. Wildlife you will see includes Rocky Mountain Elk, Bison, White-tail Deer, Mule Deer, Rocky Mountain Goats, Moose and of course American Black Bear, Grizzly Bear and Gray Wolves. Located 5 miles south of Rexburg, Idaho on US HWY 20 we are easily accessible from both Jackson Hole, Wyoming and West Yellowstone, Montana. When you visit this beautiful region don’t miss Idaho’s #1 wildlife attraction, Yellowstone Bear World.
...Absolutely HATED this place. I've been to many zoos, drive through safaris etc. A. This one is waaaay over priced and they make it sound like you have hands on time with animals (bears specifically) but that's more money.
B. The animals in their petting zoo area have got to be the most depressed and upset animals I've ever seen. I mean really depressed and upset. I almost cried.
C. They keep the baby bears separate from their mothers and on constant display. This just seems wrong.
Do yourself a favor and visit West Coast Game Park Safari in Bandon OR or the drive through safari in OR to see how one of these facilities should operate. They take care of their animals and the park isn't run by clueless people who don't have a passion for the animals in their care.
I disagree with the previous negative reviews. I didn't think the animals looked miserable. They were at healthy weights, their coats looked good, and there was ample shelter, room to roam, etc. Read history about Yellowstone and this park. Also, do some research about animals. My family and I are glad we went and all the employees were pleasant.
Went here many years ago. My dad decided to open the windows to take pictures and eat beef jerkey at the same time (which he was told NOT to do) and we ended up with a bear on our little Scion car. It was awesome!!
A must see. Large variety of animals. This is the only way you are going to see these animals, unless you go to a zoo, and this is better. They also have a nice gift shop and fudge shop.
Do not go here!!! The animals look miserable and I am so sorry I spent a dime here. The staff are all very rude and the owners could not be found to complain to. They tell you one thing on the phone and something completely different when you arrive. If I could give this 0 stars I would.
I deeply regret paying money and contributing to this place. The animals look absolutely miserable which is understandable considering the cruel conditions they are forced to live by. Would strongly recommend avoiding Yellowstone Bear World. Much more rewarding seeing the animals in the natural environment at Yellowstone national park.
Pretty cool experiences. I do feel a bit sorry for the animals not having the space to truly roam. It would be great if the Grizzlies at least got to have a path all the way around the park ...one was pacing in a 20 foot area. I dont like that the babies are not with their mothers.
This was not the most enjoyable trip for our family. There were lots of bears to see but the size of the facility was nothing like what we expected. We would skip this place if we ever visit the area again.
Great place to stop. Drive by bears, elk, moose! Also a petting zoo and amusement park for littler kids - all included with the general admission. Kids loved it!
Wonderful place!! My son and I had an amazing time!
