This was the only place I could find open the first week of October. We were the ONLY people there which was eerie and also nice. Grabbed a lake front site which was electric/water only. Great views and plenty of room to swing into spots. The other full hookup spots looked a bit tight as did the road going back there. Proprietor was really nice and overall, a very well kept facility. Don't turn left onto Belton Stage road like I did (it's a washboard dirt road). Drive up a bit farther until you see the sign for Lake 5 Resort.

Small family owned park on a beautiful lake close to GNP. Hookups in unusual locations, bring extensions and adapters. Sites are primarily dirt And wooded and can require creative rig leveling. WiFi exists while sitting on the rock or picnic table right outside of the office otherwise forget it. Good family spot with kids playing and swimming. Price is high and additional $10 per day per charge makes no sense since there is nothing specifically provided for them for the money. Phone service not strong enough to allow internet access.

Was nice to be so close to the entrance of GNP with full hook ups and nice shaded spots under trees. The lake is nice too, but it’s a pretty wonky RV park. All the full hookup sites basically back up to one another, which was awkward with absolutely no privacy. The back of our 40’ rig was probably 10’ from the back of the class C right behind us with absolutely no separation. Our power pole was joined with the site next to us and literally in their camp site. Same deal with our water hookup that was one spicket with a T Connector on it. We we worried about water pressure, but fortunately the folks right next to us were never in camp so it was a non-issue. This place is a decent home base for using the park, but way overpriced in my opinion. Got charged an extra $20 a night because of our 2 kids and a dog?? Verizon cell coverage was horrible. Aside from enjoying having 50 amp service, this place made us miss the dry camping we were doing our at Lid Creek Campground for the 3 previous nights, which was super quiet and peaceful with tons of privacy (and ironically with better cell service despite being a bit off grid).

We had site 10 which was the last site, lake front. Lots of bushes and trees between us and the lake, but was still nice. Hook ups were on wrong side for us but we made it work. Owner offered extension cords but like I said, we made it work. We had a huge bus next to us, our awing was super close to his slide out. It made for nice shade but I would have preferred our door face other way since we had no one on the other side. A small boat/kayak ramp was next to us which made getting in and out of the water with our paddle boards super easy. Not too many people put their Jakayla’s to paddles in there so it was pretty much all ours. The lake is beautiful, lots of boats having a great time but seemed courteous to not hit huge waves for us paddlers. The water was super clear and refreshing on the really hot days we were there. The campground is a short distance to west glacier which made it convenient to enter the park each day and meet up our raft guides. The campground is over 100 years old, the host/owner, told us. Which is why the position of the hook ups were a bit out of place. They had to work with what they had to update the facilities. It has cabins and full hook ups, the water front sites are electric and water only, which is what we had. Dump station is back towards a playground. We used their laundry room, was good, but only one washer/dryer so be prepared to wait. The owners were really friendly and always available. The little beach was great, there was a slide and swim dock in the swimming area. It really felt like one of those older northeast or northern lakes type camp. Funky but in a fun way. Their internet didn’t work well but we had Starlink so didn’t affect us.

Gorgeous lake, lots to do, and friendly staff to cap it all off. We only had three days here, so didn't get to make the most of the campground, but the setting was one of our favorites to date.
Our site backed up to the lake, with a small drop-off behind (in our case, in front of) the rig. Leveling required some creativity for us and for our neighbors on both sides. Even so, the ambiance made up for a little bit of wonky set-up. Our neighbors parked face-in, and we had to as well, though others were able to back in. Things were just a bit tight because of it, but neighbors were friendly so it was absolutely fine.
Staff was fantastic. Super convenient to Glacier National Park, and not far from Hungry Horse, where we found some decent grocery shopping. Starlink worked like a champ.

Loved this little resort that felt like being at an older resort back in the day. Hosts were friendly and helpful. Our site was at the end on the water. Bushes between site and water but could still get gorgeous views of the sunset over Glacier National Park. Close to the park, can ride your bike on the bike paths from campground. We had a little boat ramp next to us, was perfect for launching our paddle boards. Loved hanging out on the lake on the hot days we experienced in July. Only negative was that the water and electricity were on the wrong side of our camper. Ended up having our front door facing the backside of a huge rig. Sites are very close together but we had more space on the back side of our travel trailer because we were the last site on the water. Host offered extension hoses and cords for us. Also because we had more room than other sites, he said we could pull in the opposite way and park on the grass. Next time we'll do that. Be aware, when it rains, little gnats surround you and somehow find their way into a camper. Once it stopped raining and dried out, no more gnats. Definitely a place we'd love to come back to and spend more time at.
