Hillyer Art Space

Hillyer Art Space is a contemporary gallery dedicated to serving the public with quality exhibitions and programming. Established in April 2006, Hillyer is a program of International Arts & Artists, a non-profit organization dedicated to increasing cross-cultural understanding and exposure to the arts internationally. Hillyer’s focus is on under-represented artists, both emerging and established, that have not had a major solo exhibition within the last three years. We showcase both regional artists as well as international artists, in a series of three solo exhibitions each month. Artists are selected via an Artist Advisory Committee, a group comprised of established artists and curators from the DC region that have a diverse background in the arts. In addition to a solo exhibition, accepted artists also benefit from our Mentorship Program, where this highly qualified Artist Advisory Committee works individually with each artist to help them prepare their exhibitions and establish themselves in the DC arts community.
