This was my first time staying in a B&B and I thought it was fine. We were there because it was the cheapest place we could find in DC. I loved the style of the neighborhood. I'm sure there are fancier B&Bs out there but I would stay here again.
VERY big disappointment.
They called us before we even got there and asked if they could "upgrade" us to a room so they could place someone else in a room we had booked with two beds. We were willing to do so even though we couldn't quite understand what the "upgrade" was...
Then we arrived and there was nowhere to park. After we lugged our things up multiple flights of stairs to this "upgraded" room we went out back - and sat by ourselves, because it was not in any way a community feeling like you're supposed to get at a b&b.
1st big thing... In the middle of the night I had to plunge the toilet (remember, upgraded room). Number two - the "Bed and Breakfast" served a continental breakfast... And it sucked!
