“Rustic Getaway Retreat”
A rustic retreat for the nature lover, history buff, hunter, or fishing enthusiast. Also an ideal spot for a family getaway. Located in Trego County on the Butterfield Overland Despatch Trail near the Smoky Hill River and Smokey Valley Scenic Byway. You can walk in the footsteps of the westward bound pioneers as they made their way from Fort Leavenworth to Denver. The bunkhouse combines staying at a nontraditional bed and breakfast and being close to nature. Its nestled among the trees in a small working farm and cattle setting. Enjoy a stroll around the property, seek out the abundant wildlife, view the wildflowers in season, hunt for fossils or just curl up and read a good book. But you don't want to miss the fiery sunsets or the comfort of the rain falling on the tin roof. We are easy to find. If you are traveling on I-70, take Exit #127 on to HWY #283 south. Travel for 11 miles. At that corner "T Road" turn west for 1 and 3/4 miles. You will arrive at our home - it on the south side of the road. We will then take you down to the bunkhouse.
