“cherry trees, irises & peonies”
Meadowlark Botanical Gardens is 95 acre complex of large ornamental display gardens and unique native plant collections. Walking trails, lakes, more than twenty varieties of cherry trees, irises, peonies, an extensive shade garden, native wildflowers, gazebos, birds, butterflies, seasonal blooms and foliage create a sanctuary of beauty and nature. Conservation and plant diversity displays in the Visitor Center invite guests of all ages to explore the natural world. The Atrium’s indoor tropical garden setting is a popular meeting, reception, wedding and workshop location. Interpretive displays accompany a restored 18th-century cabin. Meadowlark also presents gardening and horticulture workshops, tours, field trips, concerts, volunteer programs and an active endowment with opportunities to commemorate or honor loved ones while helping Meadowlark Botanical Gardens grow.
A great place for amazing photo ops! I wouldn't miss it if in the area
Just finished a nice walk around the gardens! It’s very pretty and meditative, even on a cloudy fall morning like today! They set up light shows for the festival season so be on the look out for that! When venturing onto the nature trail, you can turn your walk into a bit of a hike! Plenty of benches to rest on, local wildlife to learn about, and views to snap photos at! Stay safe, keep the trails clean, and enjoy! 😁
Had a great time walking around this park. Wonderful 1.5-2 hour stroll through woods, flower beds, grass areas, around ponds and up to a beautiful bell. It was $5 per adult but soooo worth it. We had a great time. Most paths are paved but some are not.
