Ginkgo Gem Shop Dinosaurs

Very cute stop. Not far off the road and seeing the dinosaurs is fun. My kids thought it was fun. Dip your toes in the nearby water on a hot day or continue on to see the iron horses!

Such a cute little shop. They sell all kinds of gemstones and geodes and even geodes that you can buy to crack on your own. They even have an actual dinosaur bone! We ended up purchasing a glow in the dark dinosaur “egg” which was pretty cool. Outside they boast a collection of petrified wood from the nearby “forest” and some pretty awesome dinosaur statues which was a huge hit for my kiddo!

Cutest little store off the highway. Lots of cool souvenirs, fossils, toys, gems, etc. The staff was very knowledgeable about their items. Definitely worth stopping in, even just to take pictures with the dinosaurs outside.

The Ginkgo Gem Shop is located just before the Gingko Petrified Forest State Park. The store had just closed when I arrived so I can not comment on it's offerings. Truth be told, I was mostly there to see the tacky roadside dinosaurs, so it's closure did not bother me too much. I found the dinosaur sculptures rather hilarious, especially the brightly painted velociraptor. Each one even had a tiny little gate that I assume was to protect it from vandals, but made it appear they were caged in by a knee high fence. It is a good place to get out an Rawr!
