“enjoy & camp in the beauty of nature”
Enjoy the beauty of nature at Valentine’s parks. Valentine City Park is just outside of town on North Main Street. Stately oak trees surround Minnechaduza Creek, which fl ows through the center of the 40-acre park. The park is open year-round and offers activities such as camping, fishing (the creek is stocked), horseshoe pitching, hiking and picnicking. The park also has three playground areas for children. South of the creek, more than a mile of trails wind through the park. Though offi cially unmarked, they are clear enough to follow. A rentable pavilion has a full kitchen and seating for 75-80 people. It rents for $55 a day, plus a $25 refundable deposit. Other available buildings are the Old Log Cabin and the Girl Scout Cabin.Camping is available for RVs and tents. Most camper pads are streamside, tree-shaded, or both, and restrooms and free hot-water showers are on site. Space is on a fi rst-come, fi rstserved basis. Th e fee is $5 per night.
Great town, amazing hospitality. This beautiful shady park is along the river, donations only. Disc golf, showers, bathrooms, and antique kids- park toys, like teeter totters & a merry go round made from farm equip. Good coffee and friendly people in town. Drive out of your way to stay here!
Very beautiful park, and on labor day weekend we practically had the place to ourselves, while the surrounding campgrounds were packed.
