“within two hours of Chicago”
Simple pleasures like Saturday night summer hayrides or joining in a game of candy bar bingo abound at this country retreat. Just 5 miles south, the deep canyons and towering moss-covered bluffs at Starved Rock State Park will make you feel as though you've left the Prairie State altogether. Hike up to 13 miles of marked trails along canyons with splashing waterfalls. At nearby Matthiessen State Park, hike up to 5 miles of vigorous trails with unusual, beautiful rock formations. Enjoy restaurants, shopping and golf in the area. Pool: Memorial Weekend - Labor Day Weekend. Max pull thru: 70 feet. Your hosts: Dave & Linda Waszak.

There is always something to do there including playgrounds and bird watching programs/ fishing for the children to get involved. The staff is always cheerful and helpful.
It is dog friendly, it is a quiet place to relax and the restrooms and showers are clean for everyone to use.
Great escape, within nature. Enjoy
We love camping here when we need to get away. The faculties are clean and the hosts are gracious.
Very nice KOA with grassy site. In remote area across from corn field and pasture. Not far north of I-80. Friendly and helpful staff. A bit pricey but worth it. Plenty of room for large rigs. Easily fit our 25’ class B.

We don't use KOA often because of the price, but we had a large family get together at this one. We enjoyed the campground, it is very pretty with a stream running through the center of it. The bathrooms and showers were very clean. The pool was in great shape.

Amidst the cornfields on the prairie in western Illinois lies this nice little KOA. The owners waited for us (late check-in) and took us to our site. The bathrooms were really nice and the pool looked great, too. Sites were on the small side. Great overnight stop.

We were greeted by a very friendly camp host who checked us in and gave us the general outline of the site quickly so we could settle in. The setting is nice by a farm and a creek and is very clean. Close to the highway and gas, but just a mile or so away provides much serenity! Clean bathrooms.

Peaceful location yet not far from I80 or Starved Rock. We had a great pull through spot. Hosts are very friendly and accommodating. We really enjoyed our stay there.

I'm booking it across the country and after a very long day of driving, this was perfect. The campground is family-run, very courteous, and practicing safe protocols for COVID. Lovely area and full hookups available. Take a walk in the morning — it's gorgeous. My space was a back in — the owner walked me to ut and helped guide me. Flat gravel. WiFi is not too fast but it worked fine.

Restrooms Were Extremely Clean And Staff Was Very Friendly. However, You Don’t Want To Stay In The Lower Area If It Rains Because Some Of The Spot, The Water Was At Least Ankle High.
