“features a unique collection of hundreds of his works”
This museum features a unique collection of hundreds of works that span the career of Detroit-based artist, Marshall M. Fredericks (1908 - 1998), known nationally and internationally for his impressive monumental figurative sculpture, public memorials and fountains, portraits, medals, and animal sculptures. The museum, sculpture garden and collection contain one of the most comprehensive collections of any single artist's work in the world. The museum displays a permanent exhibit of about 200 works including plaster models, cast and carved sculptures, medals, jewelry, miniatures, drawings, photos, site models, molds, armatures, tools, pointing machines and archival materials. Adjacent to the museum, you'll find the sculpture garden that includes a growing collection of more than a dozen of his bronzes on the beautifully landscaped campus of Saginaw Valley State University.
