This is east of I-75. You are close enough to hear and see the traffic on the interstate. We have a noise machine and the traffic noise was no problem.
Great stop after getting through Atlanta heading south.

This park is OK utilities worked fine cable was excellent with 100 channels, they have a 50 Amp section for 2 dollars extra per night. The roads are gravel/dirt with some muddy areas. The interstate traffic noise is always present but not an issue for us. We did not use the onsite facilities. The rate reflects RPI rate.

I agree with many of the previous reviews. Older park. Facilities are very dated, but clean. Good sized spaces that are grass. Roads are gravel. The power pedestals are very dated. The are wired correctly, but have seen better days.
We stayed on the side with only water and electric as we were only there 2 days. Had that whole section mostly to ourselves. We drove 30 miles to Andersonville. That's the site of the National POW Museum and Civil War Confederate POW camp. It's also a national cemetery with many Civil War graves and monuments.
The road noise was pretty bad especially when in conjunction with 2-3 trains per night. We will not stay at this campground again.

I saw the review about noise, but its really not bad. It is right off the highway which is what you are looking for when you just need a place to sleep. Its part if Coast to Coast so its cheap. Its old simple, just a flat field, but staff was real nice, hookups worked well. If you are not a Coast to Coast member its a good place to sign up. They are a member park cheaper than any other I have seen to join. About 20 fulltimers, all pleasant enough.

Convenient as it was right off the hwy and we needed sleep. Website said they were open till 10pm so we didn’t call ahead. Got there and the office was closed. Luckily we were able to just drive right in and pick a spot.we paid on the way out. It’s small and plain but clean and a good spot to get some sleep from driving all day.

Southern Trails is our home park for Coast to Coast membership. So we have visited from time to time. This is a nice distance from Atlanta along I-75. Located in a rural section of Georgia not far from Warner Robbins AFB, a nice day trip to Plains, or to Andersonville National Memorial.
The electric is very old and in need of repair. Most sites are 30 amp, but there are about 20 sites with 50 amp. The nicest sites in a grassy section have no septic. In their favor, we noticed that the management was discussing electric upgrades with a contractor while we were there. The 50 amp sites are crowded with little space between units. The grassy sites are spacious, but have only water and electric.
There are a number of permanents who stay here. Some of their units have fallen into disrepair and some have a good amount of household debris around the units.
There are a few picnic tables, but many are well degraded some to the point of not being useful. No fires at the campsites.
The campground used to have regular social activities, but with Covid, those activities have been curtailed. We tried to make reservations, but were told just to come in and find a place. There are almost always spaces for an overnight stay, unless you must have 50 amp.
The campground is near the interstate and the railroad, so there is some rail and road noise.

Right off I-75. Cleanest bathrooms and showers I have ever found in a campground. Staff helpful and friendly. Spacious, level sites. Good WiFi. Lots of pecan trees with pecans for anyone who wants to collect them. Laundromat, playground, and mini golf available. Pool looked very clean but I didn’t use because of weather being too cool while I was there. Neighboring horse farm with pastures abutting the campground. Only negative is highway noise which I find does not bother me but might be an issue for others. I paid Passport America rate. I will definitely stay here again when I’m in this area.

This place was surprisingly open given our late week+ booking, which in hindsight should have been a red flag!
From the second you walk in the door you are NOT greeted (she looks over her glasses at you with that look of, why are you here? Why do I have to deal with you) by the nastiest bitter old lady you have ever seen!
The grounds are not kept well, I don’t care if they just changed owners… it’s not good. Trees are not maintained and hang low taking many spots out of contention for our modest 11’6” TT.
My son went in to get quarters ($10) for the laundry and he came back asking me what he did wrong to have someone talk to him so rudely… I told him he did nothing wrong and explained how some people just are always angry and hateful.
I went in to ask about a washer that had been on the first wash stage for over 1 hr and she proceeds to tell me that they get no money from them, they don’t know anything about them and they somehow lose money on exchanging $10 bill for $10 in quarters. So clearly she doesn’t know how money works…
One of the old men that I had an interaction with, wasn’t much different. Barking at me that I went down a “one-way” lane that Was Not Marked as a one-way. But he didn’t care! Just like he doesn’t care while cutting the grass, shooting more than 1 rock INTO THE SIDE OF OUR CAMPER!!!
The bugs and flies are horrible even though we were nowhere near the garbage. Can’t tell if it’s Georgia in general or this site specifically. Site was covered in bottle caps and cigarette butts so they clearly don’t care about anything after someone leaves. No QC or checks done for any site.
The cable that is advertised on the highway sign is non existent. Shredded cable ends from years past are all you get.
The sewer is basically just a hole in the ground. No threads to secure your hose, so every dump is a heinous smelly experience.
Their WiFi is horrible, I only see 1 ubiquiti access point on a 4x4 post against the fence near site 44. There may be one somewhere in the office but I can’t see it. Not enough density for a park this size… not even close! Whoever is doing their system (which they say is a “pro” clearly has no idea about the coverage requirements, signal degradation or pitfalls of an RV park.
Majority of the pull-throughs are NOT long enough to stay connected with anything longer than a smaller class B/C. If you have a Class A, forget it.
All in all it wasn’t a good experience and we will never be back! Thousand Trails should remove this place from their system because it is so bad and the people are so rude. If I had paid ANY money for this stay (outside of the Thousand Trails System) I would be livid for having wasted my money!

Good for an overnight stop but this is NOT a Resort. Sites are very close together on grass and not marked well. Site was not level and grass was soaked from heavy rains the night before. Interior roads are gravel and easy to maneuver around. We were given our choice of sites and warned not to pick the first two rows because they were “flooded out”. Because it is so close to the interstate, there is a lot of noise from traffic but it didn’t keep us up. We didn’t unhook and had no problems with water or electric. There is a small chapel and a mini golf course here but it would take a lot of work to make this a "resort". I did not check out the bathrooms or laundry. Verizon coverage was good, AT&T not so good. Good Sam discount is available but we were told that it wasn't for overnights.

The RV park has terrible wifi.
I used passport America and was not told about other days not being 50% off
Was not offered the $20 site, didn't realize that was an option.
Place is infested with roaches. Picked up my sewer hose riser, as I placed it into storage, bunch of roaches fell out.
The town is dead. There is nothing. Lots of nothing.
I think that is why the receptionist is more of a sales person trying to increase revenue.
Weboost with Verizon gave me 20/20 speeds
