“this little light of mine”
Shipwrecks from a mighty 1905 November gale prompted this rugged landmark's construction. Completed by the U.S. Lighthouse Service in 1910, Split Rock Light Station was soon one of Minnesota's best known landmarks.
Great views, informative guided tour - worth the $9 / person admission. We went in early October - the fall colors were great, and it was windy but not too cold. Fairly crowded on the weekends, so go during the week if you can.
