“Birthplace of the King”
Welcome to the Birthplace of Elvis Presley, the most famous entertainer of all time! Come enjoy the 15 acre park and learn about the BOY who would be KING, Elvis Presley.
This was an excellent experience for an Elvis fan! I took my mother both here and Graceland, and both of us enjoyed this more, by far. It was smaller and more intimate and has not succumbed to the theme park aesthetic. The presentation in the church was well done, the museum was not bogged down in minutiae, the chapel was lovely, and the birth home was humble and our host was knowledgeable and entertaining!
Very small, but free and compared the the insane lines and fee to get into Graceland your better off saving your cash and coming here instead. It's a pretty little church, and there are a few statues on the property. I like to imagine the sprit of the King is probably hanging out here quite often.
It was interesting to see the humble beginnings of the King. Just a two-room house including a bedroom and kitchen. The museum was really neat! I loved looking at all the old costumes Elvis wore.
This was an awesome place to stretch our legs. We didn’t go on the tour, but there’s enough outside that you wouldn’t really have to. The Reflection Pond was my favorite part of it.
Beautiful free Museum that starts the Elvis journey.
Stop here and see where it all started. They have done a great job showcasing the childhood home and many other milestones. If you like Elvis or are headed to Memphis, you really need to start here.
Rather go here than Graceland. Not expensive, commercial or crowded
Meh not worth the stop
Not what we expected. Reviews led us to believe it was nothing like Graceland. Not so, you are expected to pay admission for each building, with all paths leading back to the gift shop. Basically a mini Graceland. Went through the gift shop, walked around outside and left. A waste of 3 -4 hours of driving out of our way. BEEN there DONE that not going back.
