“Historic Tucumcari”
Experience the legendary past through collections located on three floors of the 1903 school house, containing a wide variety of artifacts and memorabilia from the surrounding area. Various rooms are based on themes with thousands of items on display. There are five outdoor and indoor exhibits, located on our 1/2 block of native landscaped grounds. The Big Red Barn, Wagon Shed, Firehouse, Route 66 Exhibit, Caboose, and Annex are all easily accessible.
Fun and quirky. A little bit of everything from rocks to aircraft.
We’ve been all over the US a and we’ve seen a lot of museums. This one ranks in the top 3. Not only does it have things that you might not have seen before but they’re right in front of you. While you should never play with antiques but these you can touch. Just please we’d like them to be shared for years to come. So just very extremely careful. But we really loved this place. It’s definitely a must see!!!
Went in the middle of the day and they were closed.
