“good food and great beer ever since 2000”
The Red Car Brewery & Restaurant was established in August of 2000 by co-owners husband & wife Bob and Laurie Brandt and they’ve pursued their dream together of good food and great beer ever since. Bob has been brewing professionally for over 15 years and started as a home brewer before that. After finishing his undergraduate and masters degrees at USC, a classmate offered him a home brewing kit and Bob was hooked. Laurie worked for many years in the garment industry as a national sales manager and has been in the service industry for over 25 years. After early stints at Southern California Brewing Company, Huntington Beach Beer Company and Tustin Brewing Company, Bob and Laurie decided it was time to make their dream a reality and the Red Car Brewery & Restaurant was born. The Red Car Brewery & Restaurant’s mission is to offer an upscale casual dining experience and to produce fresh, flavorful English style ales – delivered by friendly, knowledgeable staff.
