“home to ancient western red cedar & Sitka spruce”
The park is home to ancient western red cedar and Sitka spruce. An important salmon spawning ground, Munson Creek Falls tumbles 319', making it the tallest waterfall in the Coast Range. A short trail winds along Munson creek to the waterfall. During the late fall through the winter watch the waters for spawning salmon.
This is a great little hike. I rairly run into other folks so its a great place for a romantic stroll or just to be left alone to be with nature.
It’s a small park down a road that goes through a residential area then turns to dirt. Once you park it’s a short hike to a spectacular waterfall. Well worth the trip.
We visited after a large amount of rainfall and it was breathtaking! Make sure to wear rain gear as the trails are extremely wet with the spray of the falls. Definitely worth a stop!
