Welcome to Deschutes Steelheader Company. We are a BLM Permitted Outfitter on the 90 mile Lower Deschutes River. The river canyon is designated Wild and Scenic, and the awe inspiring beauty is a testament to it’s designation.  This river encompasses some of the finest trout, and Deschutes Steelhead angling in the world. As our name suggests, we focus our efforts on the world famous summer steelhead run from July through October on the lower 14 miles of the Deschutes River Canyon. Water conditions permitting, we fly fish for the highly coveted “redsides” trout in the same area during May and June. We choose to access the river via 23’ North River Commander Jet Boat. We ascend the river at first light, climbing through multiple sets of Class III/IV rapids reaching some of the finest steelhead water in the world, and fishing shortly thereafter. We look forward to showing you this river and creating memories of a lifetime!
