“Half in Texas, Half in Arkansas”
Texarkana is the largest city and the county seat of Miller County, Arkansas, United States. It effectively functions as one half of a city which crosses a state line — the other half, the city of Texarkana, Texas, lies on the other side of State Line Avenue. According to 2010 Census, the population of the city is 29,919, ranking it as the state's 12th largest city, behind Hot Springs. The city, along with its Texas counterpart, forms the central city of the Metropolitan Statistical Area, encompassing all of Bowie County, Texas and Miller County, Arkansas. The total population of Texarkana is 67,784; the total area is 67.35 sq mi. The Federal Courthouse (which also holds the city's only post office) is located directly on the Arkansas-Texas state line and is the only federal office building to straddle a state line.
If you like cheesy photo ops you're in luck. Visited on a Sunday as the church across the street was letting out. People were super nice and even stopped their cars to not mess up my photos. Little stops like this make road tripping fun!
This was pretty cool stop. Pretty much a must-do when you're in Texarkana. Get some pictures at the state line.

Cute stop-there's a spot for a photo op and people were super nice, taking turns at the sign and offering to take pics for others.

Cute quick photo op, and a nice little stopping place! Kids thought it was neat. Easy to find and park.
Great photo op. We enjoyed a lot of the store signs on the way here too. Good spot to stop and stretch.
The kids wanted to mail a post card but we could not find any for sale. Bring your postcard and stamp!
