“hang on the patio, dance on the bar!”
San Felipe’s is the brainchild of long-time high school buddies Jim Keller and Drew Gruver in Phoenix, Arizona – The Valley of the Sun. Back in the late ’70′s inspired by frequent trips to Rocky Point and San Felipe, Mexico for ‘Spring Breaks’ throughout the ASU and NAU college school year, the dream was born at a sandy beach camp amid pyramided cases of canned beer, barbequed Mexican shrimp, cheap tequila, tiny bikinis and some musically inclined friends with sand filled guitars. Coastal Mexican food with an attitude served up alongside a night life atmosphere keeps the customers returning for their much needed “Local Spring Break” here at San Felipe’s Cantina.
