Java Jacks Coffee House

We are Tappahannock's first and only coffee house, nestled in a 100- year old renovated house off US 360 in Essex County. Owned and operated by retired nurse Mimi McComb, Java~Jacks is the fruition of years of dreams and inspiration. We serve breakfast and lunch daily and have recently expanded into Friday and Saturday night dinner specials, using the finest quality ingredients, years of experience, and a little love on top. Expect the unexpected! When entering, you will be welcomed by our friendly, personable staff and invited to seat yourself. Our music ranges from Big Band, 60's Motown to Jimmy Buffet, James Taylor and Iron And Wine. Our decor is eclectic, homey and full of local artists and artisans who bless us with their talents. Our Bathroom is the "coolest room in the house"- hand painted by Gigi Vranian. You can sit by the window on the indoor porch and watch our small-town world spin by, or nestle yourself in the corner Tea Room for an intimate rendezvous.
