“only accessible via helicopter, mule, or hike”

When planning a trip to Supai Village, please also add the Havasupai Trailhead to your trip. The trailhead must be used to access the village at the bottom of the canyon, and Supai Village cannot always be routed properly due to its location far from a road. The capital of the Havasupai Indian Reservation, Supai is currently one of only two places in the United States where mail is still carried out by mules, the other being Phantom Ranch in the Grand Canyon. It is the most remote community in the lower 48 states. The only way to get to it is to take a helicopter or to hike or ride a mule along the Havasupai Trail. Supai is 8 miles (13 km) from the nearest road. There are no cars in the community. Your high school probably has more students than this place has people. In other words, you and nine buddies go on a hiking and camping trip to the bottom of the Grand Canyon where Supai is located and you've just increased a town's population by 5%.
