Confirmed by 1 users | Last reported on October 15, 2017The positive is that this park is located very close to Old Sturbridge Village (which is a gem of a place to visit). This park is very close to highway 84 and when it is not at max capacity...it would be a decent one-night stopover as it is convenient to the highway access, three different gas stations and a Cracker Barrel. The negatives...The full hook-up sights are incredibly close together (translation: your awning almost touches your neighbors unit) and they are tandem sights, so not only do you have neighbors on both sites...but you will also have someone in front or behind you. We are Thousand Trails members so this stay was included in our annual membership. I would not however pay full price to stay here if you are not a member, unless you have no other options. It is safe and all but one staff member was friendly. The roads are narrow and there are many long term residents, however you do not have to worry about trees in the FHU section. The laundry was not very clean but there is an indoor pool and spa. There is also a lake section. The sites on the lake did seem much nicer, however there is no sewer hook-up (we found out later that there is a honey-wagon that makes two free scheduled stops a week for these sites). Basically, this is a worn-out park with very narrow sites. Most of the guests there were TT members and that is why the park remained full while we were there. Lastly, verizon signal is very weak here. 95% of the time, I had to step outside to use my cell phone. The park offers wifi through Tengo (for a fee), but most of the time it did not work. Although the verizon signal is weak, many guests used their Verizon mifi/jetbacks and they worked just fine...most of the time. T-Mobile signal is basically zero.

Such a nice location! The park has an indoor pool (that is actually well kept and the kids really enjoyed it), a lake with swimming area, dock for kayaks, and fishing, as well as 2 playgrounds.
The park is a little spread out, which is a nice thing, with some of the longer term stays at the top of the hill and some others to the right when you turn in. Those areas are pretty packed in but there are some open spots in those areas if you are able to make it in. You will have more privacy.
We found the majority of the staff to be very friendly. Because it would be a bit tricky to drive around looking for a spot, they drove us on a golf cart and helped us find a place.
Many of the spots in D were just about 40-45 feet deep which meant if you had a big class A you could make it, but since we have a 5th wheel, getting the RV in and a place for the truck was hard. Thankfully - D21! One of the best overall spots we have had so far. Leveling was tricky (never really got level) but good hookups, lots of sitting space, grass, nobody on the door side.
We can see why some people rated this a bit lower, but this is actually a good park. If you have a big rig, you may have some problems getting in because of a few tight turns, but if you can get in, it should be a very nice stay.
Also, very close to Old Sturbridge Village and with train ride, not too bad to go to Boston or Providence.

Sturbridge RV Resort is located between Springfield and Worcester. It's a nice campground with a lake beach, a big indoor pool and a hot tub. They also make theme weekends with loads of fun to do! The sites are very tight, though, and the campground is mainly populated by the seasonal clients, but we still had a lot of fun there. In my video review I'm showing every corner, including a laundry room and showers. https://youtu.be/qj8Tuu78-dM

We only stayed one night because upon arrival we found that the cell service in camp was almost non-existent. We put up the booster and got a little better, but it was not useable for work.
Beyond that which is obviously not the fault of the park, so did not factor in to the star rating, the park itself is badly worn out and needs a lot of love.
The sites are basically on top of each other and short. If you are over 35' long, don't book this campground. The problem is that the campground does not restrict the size and therefore they are sticking 40' rigs into sites that are not long enough to hold them and then they stick out into the road which makes getting into your site that much more difficult.
The pool was closed for health reasons. The hot tub was open but in poor shape. The pond/lake looked beautiful but we did not use it.
The staff was all VERY FRIENDLY which made up for a lot! Every single staff member we encountered was over the top accommodating.
In the current condition, we would not stay again but the park has the potential to be a lot better.

Wow. We couldn’t wait to leave. People next to us did leave early. Site was okay but when we got there there were some old carpets left by the previous guest as well as a bunch of trash in the fire ring. When we complained they cleaned it up right away, but aren’t they suppose to do that before we get there? There were rigs there that looked like they had been abandoned for YEARS. WiFi was none existent so management told us we could buy connection from a certain company which we did and got nothing! $20 absolutely wasted. We had people behind us (about 20-25) who were in three different sites that were out of control. Drinking, blasting Tejas music fighting and creaming obscenities at each other. All this with children around(their’s included). They were there for the Fourth of July weekend and was like this for four nights. I almost called the police. Management did nothing. There were two positives. It was really close to old Sturbridge Village which was a wonderful experience. The other was our hose didn’t reach so management drive one out to sell us at a decent price which we appreciated. We have had this happen before. Are we coming back? No.

Stayed here for 2 nights on our way to Maine. Paid $0 as it is included in my tt membership. Water pressure was good. Power (50 amp) was good. No sewer but free pump outs 3 days a week. Nice little lake. Pool was still closed for COVID. Staff was very friendly. Lots of trees in the top section (no satellite) but free cable TV. Only have access for small rigs. We are 40 ft and they found a place to squeeze us but anything over 34 ft will have issues.

Is an old campground with uneven sites. The hills to get to some sites, I have no idea how the trailers get to them. The sites are super tight too again no idea how some get into them.
Our hookups are spilt on each side of the camper, water hose (and cable if you want it) has to run through the camp side of the camper. Cell service is horrible and the campground wifi is for a fee.
Stayed here with our TT,but is really a seasonal park that is subpar. The trees are beautiful through the campground

This is part of the Thousand Trails network. We stay for free, or we might choose a different location. Beautiful area and woodlands. If you are in a 34’ or smaller RV you can stay by the pond and woodland areas. The larger rigs are crammed in the middle side to side and back to back. We are large… it’s down in a hole with not much service. If you have a wifi device it’s barely usable, but better than nothing. Friendly staff as are most campers. Lots of seasonals taking the best sites. It’s near family, otherwise I would give it a pass.
Friendly staff, nice place would stay there again
