Jump start your mind at the Haggin Museum. J.C. Leyendecker, one of the nation's most popular and successful commercial artist during early 20th Century, is currently featured at the Haggin Museum in Stockton. Leyendeckerís collection of original work at the Haggin Museum's collection is the largest held by any museum, and is on display through Dec. 31. The museum is home to an outstanding collection of art created by 19th c. European and American masters. It also houses significant artifacts that tell the story of human habitation in the area from the First People to pioneer Charles Weber and the innovators in agriculture and industry who shaped Stockton and the Delta.Temporary exhibitions from our own collections and borrowed from other institutions change throughout the year. Docents will include them in your tour at your request or if appropriate. Be sure to book a tour during the annual Mckee student art exhibition and see your art on the walls of the museum!
This is a great museum surrounded by a wonderful park. The museum has interesting exhibits about the history of the area including early business and agricultural concerns.
