“Brewing quality since 1977: brewery in St. Paul, MN”
Great Waters Brewing Company opened in March of 1997. Located in the Historic Hamm Building in the heart of downtown Saint Paul, we are just steps from all downtown arenas, theaters and hotels. Our building rests on the original site of the St. Paul Cathedral, where we are blessed with a natural spring water well. The secret to our fabulous hand-crafted beers: holy water from this well! Over the years, we have created over eighty-five different beers, and have won numerous awards including a Gold Medal from the Real Ale Festival for our Old Bastard Ale. On any given day we will have up to NINE hand-crafted beers on tap, including four CAMRA compliant cask-conditioned ales. If you would rather be outdoors, Great Waters has the best patio in town. Located on Saint Paul's only pedestrian mall, our patio is open year round. Whether you're enjoying a pint in the summer sun or sitting on our Ice Patio during the Saint Paul Winter Carnival, you will experience great beer, great food, and great people at Great Waters Brewing Company.
We ate lunch here during our July road trip. We sat outside on the patio, and the service was very attentive. The pretzel appetizer was great! Our sandwiches were also good. We order the reuben and the rice/ veggie burger. There was an open market down the street where you could buy beautiful flowers and fresh veggies. We would definitely recommend this place!
