“Offers guests the luxury of a beer baron's lifestyle”

In the 1800's and early 1900's, the Lemp Mansion was as a residence and auxiliary brewery office for William J. Lemp and his family, owners of the famous Lemp Brewery. Although it was already an impressive structure, Lemp used his massive brewery fortune to turn the thirty-three room house into a showplace.  Today the Mansion -- lovingly restored by the Pointer family -- offers guests the luxury of a beer baron's lifestyle combined with casual hominess. Explore this website and find out why Lemp Mansion is a unique treasure enjoyed by generations of visitors.

Stayed overnight in the William Lemp suite. We booked the room 2 months in advance and glad we did because we were told it was the only room available for the weekend we were in town. The staff were friendly and helpful booking the room and when we checked in. The mansion itself is amazing, it was much bigger than I expected from pictures I had seen. The room was huge, a bedroom and a sitting room combined. We had a private bath, it wasn't attached, it was down the hall. We were free to look around (within reason). We left before they opened so we had to let ourselves out a back entrance which is a wrought iron spiral staircase at the back of the mansion, I thought that was pretty cool. I knew the history of the place going in, I can't say that anything supernatural happened. They get bonus points for having a Keurig machine in the room. The only downsides to the stay were how hot it was in our room and how long the shower took just to get warm, I'm sure both of those can be attributed to the size and age of the mansion. I think it was more than worth what we paid and would stay there again.

This place is allegedly very haunted. There are haunted tours on most Monday nights all year, starting at 7PM for $20/person. There's also an on-site restaurant, where I've heard the beef wellington is pretty good.
