Skitchewaug WMA is located in southeastern Vermont in the town of Springfield. Habitat Features This WMA is a steep area forested with a mix of hemlock, white pine, hickory, white ash, black cherry, red and white oak. There is also a small wetland but no streams. Common Fish and Wildlife Expect to find white-tailed deer, grey squirrel, red fox, coyote, ruffed grouse and turkey. Other Hunting and trapping are allowed. For other allowed uses, refer to the Department=s Public Use Policy for WMA=s. Access is very difficult and restricted to foot travel from Route 5 (east side) only.
