Springfield Art Museum, founded in 1928, is one of Springfield's oldest cultural institutions. It houses twelve galleries of fine art, including more than 10,000 art objects, representing thousands of years of culture. Special collections include 19th, 20th, and 21st century American paintings; watercolors; sculptures; and prints. There is a 392-seat auditorium. See our website for schedules.
