Many miles of trails, a boardwalk across swampy and bay water, civil war trivia and the remnants of a long long town. The employees are all extremely friendly and helpful and even went an extra mile to help us with a problem we had. The site we stayed at wasn't very level and the roads caused a little trouble for our tow dolly due to the hills but it wasn't anything that would stop us from staying again.
There are several grocery stores about 5 miles away, as well as a Bass Pro shop with an amazing restaurant. The front office sells local honey.

The state park is a 'historic ' state park, classified differently than other Alabama state parks. You go there for the history lessons.
Visited this in May 2018.
The RV sites are bulldozed out of a hillside - each is isolated from another-you may never see your neighbors at some RV sites. ( We could only hear others thru the woods.)
Electric and water and sewer is at your site. No washroom, restroom, except to drive a mile to the tent camping area where there is a facility and shower.
Good seafood places to eat within 5 miles.

Absolutely a beautiful campground
Campsites are big and they have the coolest cell phone audio tour to tell you all about Park just scan the QR codes from the sign and it will tell you what happened here. I definitely plan to come back again.

Stayed 2 nights but site 10 is not level and some sites being worked on with new gravel. Good location to see and do things in Mobile, and park has a lot of battlefield history. Staff friendly and comes out to greet drivers checking in.

Blakely has some of the most enormous campsites I've ever seen. They are all pull-through, sand/dirt/pine needle base, FHU campsites. You do not get to choose your campsite which is unfortunate. We had site 8 which was excellent, but many other campsites were VERY unlevel and had their utilities positioned in odd places for the size of the campsites. Most of the campsites were relatively private with trees and shrubs between. There were a few permanent looking campers in some campsites.
Check-in was at the entrance to the park and you are assigned a site and given papers with the history of the town/park/battle and trails. There are numerous hiking, equestrian and mountain biking trails that are wooded and interconnected.
There is an audio tour via cell phone that describes the sites of the park. The earthworks from the Civil War battle are well preserved.
Fairhope and the 5 Rivers Delta Center are close by. The Delta Center has a large nature center that was well done.
We had excellent bandwidth on Verizon with a cell booster.
Our site was a 5 star site, but we were one of the lucky ones, so giving site quality a 4 due to the significant slope on many sites.

We stayed at Blakeley State Park for a week. The staff is very friendly, but this is the first campground that we had to clean the site before setting up. The site had garbage, pallets, and a full firepit. The sites are rustic, very roomy, and private with lots of long-term campers. The park has dirt roads and gravel campsites. It is convent to I10, downtown Mobile, excellent restaurants and shopping. Great historic site with lots of hiking and biking trails. We work from our travel trailer, and cell/internet was fair with some buffering when streaming on Verizon and T-Mobile. We enjoyed our stay.

Very quiet, private, and plenty of trees! This site was huge and easy to pull through. Level and graveled, with full hookups and a picnic table and firepit. Just steps away are plenty of trails and a driving tour of the Civil War battle that took place here. You can feel history just outside your camper, and it's super convenient to spend the day roaming around the countryside and then nestling in at night by your fire. My cell service was good and I was able to work with both my AT&T and Verizon hotspots.

We loved this area and the park. Lots of trails to hike and mtn bike. Huge sites with full hookups. We had cell service and good antenna channels. Mainly a nice quiet campground, but we had a site next to a long term resident. He chainsaw’d 3 out of the 6 days we were there. Not the whole day, but several hours each day. His dog barked each evening and he used his leaf blower almost every day. We are not sure if he works for the park or what, but it was very annoying to have the chainsaw and leaf blower happening when we were trying to relax.

We stayed overnight while passing through and really enjoyed our time here - we had second thoughts about extending our reservation even.
Area: the campground is located in a lovely area with just about anything you need within a 10 min drive. Plenty of restaurants nearby as well.
Management: We were greeted upon arrival and given information regarding our site location, gate hours, and events. Upon re-entering the park we picked up some firewood and again greeted and given assistance for the non-bundled firewood.
Site: these sites are massive. You are not on top of your neighbor which is a huge plus. Our site wasn’t perfectly level but we made due for an overnight. We could see our neighbors but couldn’t hear them.
We did not use the facilities but have heard they aren’t the best.
We also didn’t get to try any of the hiking/biking trails which is a shame, but we plan to come back and spend more than an overnight.
