Best Western Beachside Inn

We stayed at the Beachside Inn in South Padre Island as a couple. It is a block away from the beach and everything else you need can be found in walking distance, so there isn’t any real need to take your car. The front desk was very friendly, housekeeping was helpful and they changed sheets on a regular basis. The whole place was very clean and well-maintained. Our room was comfortable but a bit crowded, I remember that the single king bed barely fit in the room and that it had only two pillows, they charge you for extra ones. The air conditioning worked great so did the cable TV. The pool and jacuzzi were also very clean and relaxing. Breakfast was amazing, delicious and freshly made, it included biscuits and gravy, sausages and eggs with cheese. For the low price this place was way better than I expected, I recommend it to anyone who is in South Padre Island and on a tight budget.

My husband and I stayed at the Beachside Inn on a leisure trip. It was great walking distance to a beach and easily seen from the road. The staff was very nice and helpful. My husband and I did the early check in which was $30 extra in cash. Which was not a big deal at all. When we got to the room is didn't smell as nice as I had expected but the smell quickly went away and was not smelled again throughout our stay. On our arrival the hallway leading to our door was dirty and we could tell it had not be vacuumed. There were also a couple of empty beer cans at the end of the hall. When we went out for breakfast the hallway was clean. I was extremely disappointed with breakfast. Our choices were two types of cereal and toast...That's it. And the orange juice and apple juice were watered down. We were able to try out the pool. (We opted for the ocean instead) They also had washer and dryer available from 8am to 8pm. And everyone's favorite amenity; FREE WIFI. We had no difficulty connecting and it was very fast. For the amenities, location, kindness of the staff I feel is was reasonably priced.
