Located just a short drive from the Heavenly Mountain gondola, MacDuff’s offers a wide selection of traditional pub fare made from only the highest quality ingredients as well as freshly-made pizzas from our wood-fired oven. MacDuff’s Public House is owned by Iain Sievwright, Dan Jansen, Joe Zampino and Bob Nielsen. The inspiration behind MacDuff’s was the desire to bring the Scottish pub atmosphere to the Lake Tahoe area. The idea began in Greenwich, Conn., where Iain and his brother, Scott, who were originally from Aberdeen, Scotland, opened the original MacDuff’s to rave reviews.  After the success of MacDuff’s Pub in Greenwich, Iain teamed up with Dan, Joe and Bob to bring that success out west and South Lake Tahoe seemed like the perfect destination. Our goal here is to serve traditional pub fare made from only the highest-quality ingredients in a fun and friendly atmosphere. In addition to pub fare and Tahoe’s best burgers, we also offer freshly-made pizzas from our wood-fired pizza oven.
