Dirt roads through pines to fairly tightly packed sites, but you can't beat the location right across from Lake Tahoe and along a great bike path. Note, when we checked in, we were told dogs were not allowed, but then it was suggested that if we had a service dog - or claimed that we did - there would be no verification required and we could stay without a problem, which we did! Lots of families with bikes and kayaks enjoying a summer camping experience on the lake. Secluded, no but a nice, friendly environment.

We stay at Camp Richardson at least once every year have been doing so for five years now. Full hook ups, friendly neighbors fire pits showers and toilets if you don't wanna use your Rv .shop stores in the area. Bike trail. Hiking. Short walk to an uncrowded beautiful beach. JetSki and motor boat rentals. What more could you ask for?
Also they just completed a full renovation a few years ago more paved roads better campsites and a hook ups are now modern.

We really enjoyed our stay. The campsites are nestled in the pines giving it a forest campground feel, yet it is right next to the road. They have a general store, a small breakfast/lunch spot plus a full restaurant right on the lake. Staff was exceptional with check it. Easy drive into SLT. Easy bike into SLT
The bathrooms need to be cleaned and updated. Very dated. Many of the sites are not level, so bring plenty of leveling blocks. Only a select few sites have sewer, but they do have a convenient dump station. Utilities are all at the front of the site, so bring you long extension cords. Bears are onsite. We heard people yelling at bears 2 of the nights we were there. So be sure to keep a clean site and use the bear boxes.

Our site (#47) had to be the most un-level site ever! Very difficult site to get into and to get level but enjoyed the campground once set up! Great access to the beach. Next time I would try to get one of the sites around the perimeter of the campground as they seemed to be a little larger. Had water and electric hookups and a dump station on site. Shower room was ok, but a little dated. Always had hot water and never had to wait for an open shower even though there were only three.

Very nice spacious rv campsites among tall pine trees. Was there on a weekend in Sept and maybe 2/3 full. Shower houses are clean but dated. Walk across the road to get to the beach. Hook ups all good. Wifi generally good. Would definitely come back.

We booked a site on line and arrived at RV park around 6 pm. No one is in the RV Park. After calling the office. They said that someone will call me back. Waited for 20 minutes, no one called. Asked other campers and need to walk across the street to the hotel to check in. Our site is 27. The site is uneven. The sewer lid was on the high ground; need to drive far up and use a long hose to hook up. Tried the Wi-Fi; it’s not working. Walked to the hotel office again and was told that their system was down. My Verizon had only one bar in the camp. Eventually gave up the site and drove 4 miles away to the Raley’s parking lot to stay overnight.

Nasty Bathrooms. Bears In Camp. No Dogs Allowed. Expensive. The Only Reason It Gets 2 Stars Is Location. If You Have Self Contained RV And No Dogs, Maybe. Oh And Noisy As Hell.

Nice RV park. Across the street from the beach. Five to ten minute walk. Beach was beautiful with a restaurant on the water. Didn’t have time to try it. Check in at the hotel across the street from the RV Park.
Do watch for bears! Almost walked into one digging in the trash by the restroom! Don’t leave anything out or in your car. They got our nieghbors bbq!
Beautiful and well kept camp ground! ($45/night excluding holidays when its $50) During the week we had almost the entire Tent area to ourselves. There is a beach where you can rent paddle boards (about $40/board for an hour) paddle boats, kayaks, etc. you can also get on a boat cruise here where they sell alcohol on the ship. (1.5 hours $59/person). They have free showers and lots to do around. Go to the burger lounge and get a burger and pesto fries!! Soooo good!
