The museum is operated by volunteers with a Board of Directors elected by members of the Historical Society and supported by donations, memberships and fund raisers.The museum features Washoe Native American artifacts, early Indian settlers, pioneer and farm displays, archival films of Tahoe, photos available for reprints, as well as a museum shop with a large collection of books, cards, and gifts.
