Welcome to Jensen's RV Park & Motel nestled in South Haven's beautiful harbor country. Jensen's is a second generation family run RV Park and has been a well known and active part of South Haven's leisure opportunities for 30+ years. In one form or another, Jensen's has been a location for recreation and leisure since the earliest vacationers came to South Haven in the 1920's. We pride ourselves on our affordable rates, friendly service, and family atmosphere. I first stayed here on an overnight trip back from Sheboygan several years ago and quickly realized it would be a great base while working in the area.
Martin & Kendra took over the operation from their parents and greatly expanded it a few years ago. This is not a resort and doesn't try to be - they don't want to be since Lake Michigan is a just a few blocks away and there are several resort options in the area.
All the sites are dirt/grass and may require some leveling. There is a long row of seasonal renters as you first enter the campground but there is ample room for overnighters and short term renters as well, including tent camping. The new area in the far back is mainly for long term big rigs - at least 50, mostly pull-though sites, with full hookups. There is not much shade back there but it's Michigan.
Overall the place is very well maintained with huge open grassy lawns for relaxing and games. The neighbors were usually quite friendly and well behaved. Lots of kids during the height of summer but otherwise during the week and off season, very quiet. You'd think you were in the country instead of on the north side of South Haven with a residential area to the west and a public school complex to the east. Big trees surround the campground.
There is a Meijer store just a couple of miles south and a Walmart & Menard's not much further. South Haven with it's cute downtown and beach/pier area is delightful. If you want a resort, it's easy to find one, but if simple family camping is more your speed, Jensen's is a good bet.

An absolute gem, Jensens RV park is a great place to peacefully unwind and spend time with family.
Located on the northern end of South Haven, Jensens is almost completely hidden from the hustle and bustle of beach-tourist-town atmosphere that prevails in South Haven. You literally blend away in the trees, yet stay under a 5 minute walk from the beach. Modern stores such as Meijers, Walmart, and Walgreens are within a few minutes by car, but far enough away that you can't hear the traffic.
Amenities include both free and premium wifi, an on-site laundry ( 3 washers, 3 dryers, $1.75 each), community bathroom, and showers (3 male, 3 female). Overall, the showers and bathroom will remind you of a 1980's school bathroom, but careful attention will reveal some upgrades like the floors, newer toilets, and upgraded plumbing. Done intentionally or not, it retains it's old school look while giving updated features. The wifi (free) is rather slow, and will buffer even youtube videos. The premium ($20/wk) will connect 4 devices without buffering or lag issues. I'd say its well worth it. The owners also sell wood and ice on site, both at very reasonable prices. And the wood bundle is about 2 times the size you'd get at the local gas station. During our stay, water pressure was a constant 48psi, and the electric was rock solid.
Overall, I'd rate Jensens a 4.8 for being an outstanding camping area. My *only* complaint, and I have to be picky to even find it.. is how close together the sites are. I would wager that is due to how the resort that was here many years ago was laid out. Even then, the neighbors are very quiet, respectful, and polite. Seasonal residents that I met where very welcoming and helpful with suggestions for area things to do, as where the owners. Without a doubt, Martin and Kendra have done a great job at keeping Jensens a hidden slice of paradise that won't disappoint.
