Harvey House

I stayed at the Slaton Harvey House and it was a great experience. It is a restored building that hosts special events and is also a bed & breakfast. The decoration is excellent, with period furniture and historical details. Our room had a very comfortable bed and a small tv with a dvd player. A big surprise was that the hotel was very quiet, we didn’t hear any train whistles or any noise at all. Next morning at breakfast, which by the way was a buffet with very tasty food, I asked the host how they keep their property so quiet and he told me that the walls are made of 12 inch thick concrete. Also I visited the small in-house museum and it was great, also the gift shop is a outstanding place to buy a souvenir to keep from your visit there. My girlfriend and I loved it, you have to visit it.
