The Ralph A. Worley Observatory is located 8 miles south of Shreveport, Louisiana on Hwy. 175. It was originally built by the Shreveport-Bossier Astronomical Society, Inc. in 1964, later donated to the Caddo Parish School System. This facility has been used by many organizations in Shreveport for astronomical classes and public programs. These organizations include LSU-Shreveport (astronomy classes), Centenary College (astronomy classes), and the Shreveport-Bossier Astronomical Society, Inc. (free public star parties).
