“Kampgrounds of America”
The Old South merges with the West in northern Louisiana, where Shreveport sits on the banks of the Red River. No matter which direction you're headed, this award-winning campground provides a welcome rest spot. Stretch your legs - and your pooch's - in two off-leash dog parks. Let the kids burn off energy in the playground or pool. Relax to the trill of songbirds and drift off to sleep under the shade of tall pines in a Cabin, Deluxe Cabin or on a long Pull-Thru RV Site. When you're refreshed, check out some of the area's renowned Louisiana cookin' and Vegas-style action on riverboat casinos. Pool: Memorial Weekend - Labor Day Weekend. Max pull thru: 93 feet.

Confirmed by 5 users | Last reported on July 13, 2022This was only a one night stop for us but it was a good one. Bath house was nice and the pool and pet areas were great. The staff was very friendly and the pull through site made an easy in and out stay for us. I would stay here again.
What a fun stop! This KOA had clean sites, friendly staff, spotless bathrooms and family friendly campgrounds. We will add this to our return stop and highly recommend these grounds to others.
Even for a KOA Journey campground, which caters to overnighters, this park seemed quite busy. Maybe because our site had a view of the entrance road, so we could see the three or four RVs lined up waiting to check in. Even during the week, the campground was about 2/3rds full most of the time. Some of those spots seemed to be occupied by long-term residents.
The campground is divided into a front and back section. We were in the front section, which has a slight incline and is closer to the road (two lanes in both directions), so there was road noise during the day. Our site had packed down gravel for the pad, a concrete patio with a garden table and chairs, and grass for the rest of the site. It was fairly level despite the incline (we did see other sites needing to use levelers or blocks on the downhill side), had two sewer connections, and had the amount of site space you typically find at a KOA.
The office was also typical for a KOA, although the store had a larger-than-average selection of RV parts and accessories. Behind the office was the pool and playground area. There is a covered pavilion area next to the pool, but it was undergoing repairs from what looked like storm damage. The enclosed dog park is large and divided into a small and large dog section. We could also walk the dogs around the small pond behind the dog park area. Fellow dog owners should just be aware that a number of tasty-looking cats roam freely around the campground, particularly around the office.
Trash could either be walked to the dumpster or left at your site for pickup before 11am. The staff were also kind enough to transport my propane tank back to our site after I got it refilled.
In terms of cell service, the best speeds I got on my Verizon Jetpack with MIMO antenna during our stay were about 7Mbps down and 15Mbps up, with occasional slowdowns during the afternoon. That still let us watching streaming video, but with some buffering and pixelation. The one speed test I performed on my AT&T phone showed 63Mbps down and 18Mbps up.
We would stay here again for an overnight or brief stay.

We only stopped for a one night stay but would have liked to stay longer. Nice, clean campground with great amenities. Great cell service. My kids loved the playground and pool. Would definitely stay again.

The pool was closed the whole time we were there. I could understand a day, but they just kept trying to fix it themselves instead of getting a professional. We stayed here for the pool so, at $55 bucks for grass and gravel and no pool, we were not impressed. The women's toilets were new and clean, but the showers were nasty. The long-term campers were nice, but the transients were super rude, parked in your campground arrogantly, and didn't obey quiet hour rules. One camper opened and shut his truck doors over 20 times early in the morning. He was pacing around like a little kid looking for attention. You are quite a long drive from downtown and in not a good area of town either

If you are looking for a quick overnight that is clean and quiet with a fully stocked camp store - this is your place. The site was so level that we just pulled right in, did not unhook, did not adjust in any way

This KOA was beautiful. The sites were very level and well-maintained. We had some shade and a set of table and chairs. The pull-thru site was easy-in/easy-out. We were only there one night on the way home, but wished we could stay longer. The price was higher than we like to pay, but overall the park was perfect. The staff was very friendly and the camp store well-stocked. We would stay here again.

We had a great time here. The site was level, concrete patio with table and chairs. Stretch of grass on both sides. Kids loved the swimming pool and the play areas, the showers were clean and plenty of hot water. Campground filled up pretty quickly, but it was very quiet. Little store stocked with all the important things (ice cream and snacks). Laundry facilities were a life saver!! We wind definitely stay here again!

I've stayed at many KOAs before, this is one of the rare ones that actually keep the place clean even when full. Has 105 sites that are all pull-throughs except 16 of them. Has primitive campsites, cabins, playground, pool and a dog park with size separate sides (#31+ side/ smaller side). They will pick up your garbage when left at the front of your spot by the road. I had a concrete pad with patio. The patio had a table and 4 chairs.
Many nice restaurants and micro-breweries within a 15 minutes drive.

Stop for the night.
Very clean and well maintained. Slabs are great. Even though there was heavy rain. Place is mud free and dry.
