“A sanctuary for pacifist living”
CLOSED DELETE
The Peace Abbey was created in 1988, following an inspiring visit from Mother Teresa to The Life Experience School. Since then, The Peace Abbey has created innovative models for society that empower individuals on the paths of nonviolence, peacemaking, and cruelty-free living.
Once home to a bed and breakfast and multi-faith chapel, the Abbey houses The Animal Rights Memorial, The Pacifist Memorial, and The Conscientious Objectors Hill of Remembrance.
Sadly, this gem is no longer with us. After falling on hard times it was forced to close.
