Confirmed by 2 users | Last reported on September 19, 2023I originally planned on tent camping, but a last minute freeze warning put my plans on halt. The employees helped me switch my reservation to a cabin very easily. The cabin was clean and cozy, and the shower and bathrooms were impressively clean. In fact, I only used the bathroom 4 times in a day and 3/4 times, a lady was there cleaning and restocking. The people were friendly, the cabin was warm, and I left happy and well-rested. They're kinda expensive but I like the fact that they have security patrol at night, especially since I usually travel and camp by myself.
a little on the high side for a one night stay and their sites are so close together you think your camping with your neighbor. I truly felt closed in so little space between my TT and the one behind me.
We rarely stay at KOAs, but there've been a few times when they were the only thing available in the area. This is one that we thought went above and beyond making you feel comfortable. The campground is set off the road in a tree-filled area with a lot of beautiful places to walk and bike. The staff was super nice too.

We met friends here and they made the reservation. The park worked out fine for our visit, but we wouldn't stay again. We checked out Grandma's Park near by and that is a quiet park with level, gravel sites and NO amenities for children. Our park is a KOA so we expected families with children and they didn't disappoint! Sites are dirt and you could see they were a mess when it rained. They were quite close together which is usual for KOA's. The park has FHU's and water/electric sites available. There are pull thru's and back-ins with an area for long term stays which wasn't very nice. There are various degree of quality in the sites, as is the pricing. The most expensive sites have a concrete patio with a table and chairs but the pad is gravel and not that level. There are also larger gravel sites with a larger gravel patio. We were in a short term area with pull thru's and a very small grass area. You are escorted to your site since many are scattered in various areas, at differetn angles. The park also had cabins which appear to be very nice. Many are new this year. There is a large playground and bouncy pillow for the children. There are two nature trails. The pool has been closed all summer for drainage issues but there is an inside hot tube. The office personal were very friendly and helpful. Occasionally there is noise from the airport but very infrequently. WiFi worked fine in the morning when use was down.

We spent a pleasant 2 nights here while traveling south. We were towing a trailer and had an extra car. The staff were very accommodating in putting us in a pull-through spot and helping us find a place to park our extra vehicle. The pool was very nice after a long day's drive. The staff was friendly. The sites were a little tight, but not overly. It was an easy walk up to the main road and the Dollar General. All in all, we would stay here again. WiFi worked well as did Verizon.

Compared to some other parks in the area, this was clean, roomy, and quiet. The parks closer to Louisville, on the south side of the bridge, were mostly parking lots. And this one was closer (halfway) to Bardstown, making some destinations more doable for day tripping; southern Bourbon trail locations and Lincoln’s childhood homes for example. KOA is never the cheapest and sometimes overpriced for what you get, but when you get close to “urban” locations, the choices slim down considerably.

This place was described by our friendly neighbor from Ohio who said something like, “we stay at KOA’s like this one cause they’re like a McDonald’s cheeseburger...not too bad and the same everywhere you go.” Our premium site near the entrance had nice concrete patio with table and chairs. Also had a fire pit. Close to the pool which the kids loved. And the weird bouncy pillow thing was a hit. The site itself was gravel, a little tricky to back into and required leveling. Service was nice and friendly. Nothing bad to say about the place really. I guess we’d stay here again if we’re near Louisville, but wouldn’t go out of my way to get back to this one.

Paid $49 for one night. Full hookups (50amp, water, sewer). Stayed in site 271. Bought propane from them in the morning.
We rolled into town mid October in the middle of the week and figured we could easily find a place to stay the night as we were passing through town. The KOA website wasn't working so we stopped by and lucked out that they had a couple available spots. Very friendly service.
The entrance is a bit tricky with a couple blind corners over a hill. And several times as we came and went people were driving on the wrong side of the entrance. But if you just drive slow you won't have any problems getting in. There's plenty of parking for a couple rigs in front of the office for checkin.
Only minor complaint is that we heard airplanes overhead, but it wasn't a major flight path so they were pretty sporadic.

This is a great KOA with a really good vibe about 20 min south of downtown Louisville. It's far enough away from town to be peaceful but yet has good access to everything Louisville has to offer. This was a very woodsy feeling KOA with good spaces between the sites. They had a ton of games all in really good shape like basketball, corn hole, horseshoes, ring toss. They also had a big bounce pad for the kids.
The sites were long and level, navigation was easy through out the park. We had a pull thru patio site and it was worth the extra cost. The patio was very nice. The staff was super friendly like most KOAs and carted the propane to my site for me when I had to get my tank filled.
We've stayed in a lot of KOAs and this was 1 of the best. The internet was slow but ATT and Verizon hotspots were both good enough w/out a booster (over 10+ d/l and 4 u/l).

We don’t generally like RV parks and almost always prefer campgrounds and boondocking, although we were in a pinch as we left our generator where we slept the night before. This KOA was such a pleasant surprise!!! The spots were beautiful and wide. We has a 50 amp pull thru spot with a patio, and it was so fun to have the private outdoor space. There was one other Rv by us and all of the monthly’s were in a completely different part of the park. I was able to do laundry (nice and clean room) and our daughter loved playing on the massive jumping pillow. Highly recommend this KOA!!
