Confirmed by 1 users | Last reported on June 06, 2021John Wayne's Waterfront Resort is a well maintained and wonderfully located RV park on the western shore of Sequim Bay. The campground is nestled between a forest and the bay. Easy walks all over the place. The grounds are well maintained, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Also, if you're into John Wayne memorabilia, then their small camp store is the place for you. It's packed with John Wayne plates, mugs, shirts, and more.
It's pretty packed in the summer, so make sure to make reservations. That said, they accommodated us last minute in their overflow summer spots (limited hookups, but pretty spots). Wifi is pretty much non-existent (as it is pretty much at all campgrounds), and the Verizon barely hit LTE, so limited internet. Overall however a great experience, in a beautiful part of the Olympic Peninsula. We certainly would select this park again next time we're in the neighborhood.

Gravel parking lot but adequate space between sites. Nice area for picnic/eating area. Had to stretch sewer line but it did reach. Olympic peninsula and national forest amazingly beautiful. Multiple hiking Trails nearby. Olympic Game farm a must see.

Parking on gravel, but great location super nice people. We got a spot in the back which backed up to trees so felt more private. It is one big gravel lot so no privacy between sites, but sites are a decent width apart. Showers needed attention. Supposed to be WiFi but I could never get it to connect.

We stayed here in our 25' motorhome the first week of December 2020. This resort has a wonderful location right on Sequim Bay! We had RV site 18 which was in the 2nd row. I think the front row sites are the best. Not a lot of privacy but the views and amenities are great. There are some full-time residents but overall the the reost is very clean and well-kept. This resort has a lot to offer - cabins, RV sites, tent sites, small store, family sized fire pits and the staff was super nice. And across the street is the beach and huge marina park area. Do not miss a bowl of soup and baguette at the Dockside restaurant!

We can't say enough good things about this resort! We hosted 40 people for my Mom's 90th birthday celebration over Memorial Day. The combo of cabins, RV sites, tent sites and even the marina across the street made it perfect for our big crowd. We had site 7 - FHUs and waterfront view, site was fairly level and had a concrete pad/patio. The owners could not have been nicer! The whole property is meticulously maintained and we were able to use the clubhouse for our group dinner buffet line. They also had a huge white tent covering 5 big outdoor tables that was the perfect place to gather. The staff made sure the firepits were stocked with wood daily, and the cabins are nice accommodations too. We'll be back for sure!

This park is alright- not much room between sites, not super level, no sewer connection for our part of the park- but the bay and park area around it is spectacular! The RV park has nice staff too! We stayed in a W/E site at the very back where there was shade (a very good thing considering the heatwave when we visited). Would choose site 54 again! It is also right next to the trailhead for the trails at the back of the park. They were amazing! Would highly recommend eating at the Dockside Grill across the street.

The staff were very friendly and competent. The facilities worked well. The location is nice that it is across the street from a small marina and bay. The area is quiet, far from noisy roads, boats or planes. AT&T 5G 3-bar signal worked well. Only one restroom in the tent section far from many of the RV sites. Two washers and driers though I had no trouble getting a machine when I needed it. The RV sites are a combination of dirt and gravel and very dusty. I understand it hasn't rained in awhile but if it did I would expect mud. They allowed me to me wash my camper and town vehicle and right after I did I wet the gravel/dirt to keep the dust down, neighbors did the same. My stay was pleasant but next time I'll look for a one with better site conditions.

We enjoyed the grassy area across the road and the beautiful view of the waterfront. Our actual site was on gravel, where sites were very close to each other with no privacy. Just a dusty gravel parking lot of sardines. There is also a nice grassy area off to the side and in the back area. The additional fee of $21 for 7 nights with our 2 small dogs was not appreciated. The beautiful pictures shown on webpage are deceiving. If we were to return, we would request a grassy site in the back of the park, though none of the sites have privacy.

Just across the street from the bay with spots for smaller RVs, full hookups are available but only up to 30Amp for now. Reasonable prices with easy access to downtown Sequim.
