“One of three of Sequin's giant pecans”
Seguin, TX makes lots of pecans. Nicknamed the Pecan Capital of Texas, the city hosts the world's largest pecan in front of its county courthouse. Only thing is, a city in Missouri claimed to have made one bigger. So Seguin in all of its pecan-glory set out and created an even larger pecan, hence why it went from first to second to first in the intense battle of World's Largest Pecan. This is the third, and now largest, pecan in Seguin. They love their pecans.
This is a pecan sculpture.
Great for a goofy photo op, easy to get to, and not far from a really great city with an awesome downtown - New Braunfels
This is certainly quite a spectacle, if I must say. The Family and I drove 32 straight hours from DC to witness this display of the peak human engineering and expression.
Best goddamn pecan ever!!
Ditto...great for a goofy fun photo"
its just a pecan
This statue is actually at 101 East Court St. on the front lawn of the Guadalupe County Courthouse. Went to the address listed and did not see anything. Found thanks to satellite map image.Cool for a quirky photo op & to stretch your legs. The local historical buildings are also cool to look at.
That’s the real deal! Let’s make a Pecan Pie!🤣🤣
World’s largest pecan statue makes for a fun goofy pic. Liked the town square. Nice excuse to stretch the legs if driving I-10.
The pecan is under a large canopy next to the Pecan Museum at the Texas. Agricultural Center. The pecan tree is the state tree of Texas. The museum was closed. I think a call ahead is required, but the pecan and some signage about the pecans are accessible under the canary. Just a couple miles off of I-10. There is a demonstration garden and a school tour was going through when we were there. It was worth a quick stop.
