“dedicated to the art of fine cocktails!”
Since 2006, VESSEL has practiced the fine arts of crafting and serving superb food and drinks, with a special focus on cocktails. This downtown destination epitomizes great design, relaxed refinement and steadfast attention to quality in all areas. In 2008, VESSEL was recognized by Esquire magazine as one of the “Best Bars in America.” In 2011, VESSEL’s 5th Avenue location closed at the end of its lease to move to a new location. They re-opened in September, 2012 at the thriving intersection of 7th Avenue and Olive Way. Vessel serves an extensive array of spirits, wines and cocktails to discerning customers who savor what they sip. Their staff, led by co-owner Jim Romdall, attends to the details – craftsmanship (double straining, precision pouring), flavor (seasonal fruits and herbs, soda from bottles) and temperature (large ice cubes, double chilling).Vessel’s cocktails pay homage to the classics while adapting them to modern tastes and the wider availability of fresh and exotic ingredients. Each cocktail is designed to showcase the individual characteristics of the base spirit and is then enhanced by hand-made syrups, house bitters, custom foams and subtle tinctures.
