Award winning Chef Renee Erickson (Boat Street Café/Boat Street Pickles) has partnered with Business Manager Jeremy Price and Developer Chad Dale to realize her long time vision for an Oyster Bar. It makes perfect sense then, that she would do it in her own neighborhood. Owners Jeremy Price, Renée Erickson, and Chad Dale The Walrus and the Carpenter blends the elegance of France with the casual comfort of a local fishing pub. “The idea is to serve the highest quality food and drink in a space that is stripped of pretense and feels like home.”

Obviously get the oysters and don’t be afraid to have them explain them to you. Whatever oysters we had were perfect and amazing and I don’t even like seafood. The cheese course was amazing too. Super friendly service. Small-ish space hidden in the back of another restaurant!
We were just at this delightful spot because I had first fallen in love with the cookbook. Go for happy hour to champagne and oysters. Then, head to the bar of the same owner next door, Barnacle, and enjoy cocktails and a tasty, unique bar menu!
The setting for this Greco-seafood restaurant is unmatched, seeing as it's dockside on Lake Union. If it's nice out, enjoy stellar oysters at the lakeside picnic tables, or cozy up to one of the oyster-shell fire pits.
